Pinot Gris in all its natural beauty has a luscious peachy hue that most winemakers strip out to leave a more ‘fashionable’ wine colour – dulling down the wonderful aromatics in the process. At Sarantos we’d never dream of repressing the full flavour personality of Pinot Gris. That’s just too high a price to pay to follow fashion.The 2009 Pinot Gris is a pale light bronze colour and the nose displays lifted rosewater and floral blossom with hints of lime. The palate shows stone fruit with notes of rosewater.
