The 2010 Sarantos Merlot is a deep crimson colour with a purple hue. On the nose is shows cherry, briar and rhubarb and these aromas are complimented by lifted raspberry confectionery overtones. The palate displays a medium bodied wine with lovely lifted sweet fruit of raspberry and strawberry, with soft rounded tannins for a tantalising cherry finish.
The wine is best enjoyed on release. The 2010 Sarantos Merlot is an excellent match with chicken, pork or rabbit casseroles with a fruity element such as apricots or prunes.
